We can build the world we imagine

A model for equity and access in early care and education

Give to The Playing Field

Help us create a strong future for tomorrow’s leaders

Since 2015, The Playing Field has been imaging a world where all children in need of quality early care and education have access. We operate three sites in Madison, including children impacted by homelessness alongside children from more advantaged families.

This campaign will not only allow us to serve 100 additional children on Madison’s east side, but to expand our ability to share our model with other early educators.

Through unique collaborations with The Road Home and Plumber’s Union Local 75, families can benefit from onsite child care, stable affordable housing and career training.

Renee

“The Playing Field is cultivating an intentional village where all children will thrive. Their model has shown as much dedication and respect for their early educators as they do for the children and families they serve. We cannot wait to see this project come to life. So many lives will be lifted and enriched because of it.”

Ruth

“The innovative work they do centering 2Gen (multi-generational approach) is collaborative and cutting edge. The Playing Field thoughtfully and skillfully provides culturally relevant, asset-based, effective programming which is critical to building family well-being and ultimately an even stronger community.”

Dipesh

“The Playing Field proves it’s possible to combine modern science, sound educational principles and deep caring to serve those in the community who will benefit most. Their achievements are worthy of our attention and meaningful investment.”
